“Thanks be to thee, my Lord Jesus Christ, for all the benefits and blessings, which thou hast given to me, for all the pains and insults which thou hast borne for me. O most merciful Friend, Brother and Redeemer; may I know thee more clearly, love thee for dearly, and follow thee more nearly.” (Part of a prayer by Saint Richard of Chichester, who died in 1255)

Very nice prayer! Especially the last part: “may I know thee more clearly, love thee for dearly, and follow thee more nearly” I didn’t know that prayer went back to the 13th century.

His mercies are new every morning, how blessed are we! Living our very best life before Him “one day at time”. Yesterday is gone, and we don’t yet tomorrow. For all we have is now! Praise God! Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻
